Originally from Jamaica, but raised in heart of the prairies in Canada, there comes a soulful young artist who likes to dabble in the art of Dance, R&B, and Jazz. Since the age of 6, in her heart Moccachild knew that music would always have a hold on her soul. Drawing inspiration from the greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Cassandra Wilson and Jill Scott, she has been involved in countless performances and musical productions around the community.
At the age of 16 she met Taras, and the two young minds joined forces and set out on a long road of musical collaboration that would last for the next few years. After graduating from high school however, the two lost touch, yet after 2 years, chance had it that the two friends found each other again, and incidentally, at this same time, Taras was beginning his talks with Hi-Bias Records Inc.
Since getting signed to Hi-Bias in 2003, Moccachild has been hard at work collaborating with Taras on his full-length album, which is scheduled for release in 2004.
